Locutionist Fr. Gobbi Has Died

The famed locutionist, Father Stefano Gobbi, 81, of Milan, died at three p.m. June 29 after spending several days in “very critical condition” in a coma that was induced after he suffered a heart attack on June 19. May he rest in peace.

Fr. Gobbi had founded the worldwide Catholic movement, the Marian Movement of Priests (MMP), following an interior locution that he reported receiving in 1972 at the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima.

The interior messages he reported receiving from Our Lady from July 1973 to December 1997 were published in the book: “To the Priests, Our Lady’s Beloved Sons”, which has received various imprimaturs.

He received an official papal blessing from Bl. John Paul II in November 1993 and has always been in good standing with the Church.

According to the MMP, its members now include over 400 Catholic cardinals and bishops, more than 100,000 Catholic priests, and several million lay Catholics worldwide.

Dr. Bowring’s new book, “The Secrets, Chastisement, & Triumph” (www.TwoHeartsPress.com), which includes some of Our Lady’s reported messages given through Fr. Gobbi, has recently brought new attention to these heavenly messages he received.

Bowring’s book has also helped to restore credibility to Fr. Gobbi and the heavenly messages given to the world through his reported locutions, a few of which had suffered misguided interpretations (and accusations of inaccuracies) from critics in recent years.

In Dr. Bowring’s book, he relates Fr. Gobbi’s messages to other credible heavenly prophecies about the apocalyptic times we are living in and about God’s plan to bring His peace to humanity.

Perhaps now with the death of Fr. Gobbi, the Church will consider anew his life of sanctification; and with that, confirm the authenticity of his reported locutions more definitively, especially in light of their agreement with other credible heavenly prophecies and conditional warnings of our time.
